A workplace wellbeing speaker

David Oromith is a Buddhist teacher and meditation guide who runs wellbeing talks, courses and wellbeing days for workplaces, including a long-running series for Admiral Insurance. He has a background in mental health services.

David guides with warmth, honesty and humour. There’s no jargon and no pressure to be spiritual or anything other than who you are, and his sessions give staff practical tools they can use at their desk, in a meeting or at home.

“Excellent session. The best of its kind I have experienced within Admiral.”

Why staff connect with David

David has his own experience of depression, anxiety, stress and burnout, and it was meditation and Buddhist practice that helped him. He speaks about it openly, and staff have said in feedback that it helped them feel less alone.

His sessions start from situations people know from work, such as realising we haven’t heard a word a colleague said, or a small worry about being late growing into a worry about our job. Staff leave with short practices they can use between meetings.

Questions from workplace organisers

Is it suitable for staff who’ve never meditated?

Yes. Sessions are made for people who have never meditated, and need no belief.

Is it religious?

No. David draws on the Buddhist tradition, but the talks and practices are practical and can be fully secular.

Can you run a series rather than a one-off?

Yes. Many workplaces book a series, so staff can build on each session.

Can sessions be recorded for staff who can’t attend?

Yes, by arrangement.

Online or in person?

Both. Online sessions run on Zoom or your own platform.

Do attendees get anything to take away?

Yes. Everyone gets PDF notes after each session.

What does it cost?

It depends on the format and the number of sessions, so get in touch for a quote.
