Jamyang Buddhist Centre, London and Leeds
Day workshops, including emotional balance.

David Oromith is a Buddhist teacher and meditation guide, and a student of Dr B. Alan Wallace for over a decade. He teaches retreats, day workshops and courses for Buddhist centres and meditation groups, in the UK and online.
His teaching draws on the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, particularly shamatha, the four immeasurables and mind training, alongside the Cultivating Emotional Balance programme and his years working in mental health services.
“David is an exceptional teacher; grounded, kind, wise and generous.”

David came to the Buddha’s teachings at eighteen, through his own depression and anxiety, and he is open about the difficulties he brought to practice.
He teaches traditional material, such as shamatha, the four immeasurables and lojong, in plain English with examples from everyday life, so newer students can follow and longer-term practitioners still find depth.
“David is very knowledgeable and a trusted source of advice on meditation and Buddhist philosophy.”
“David gave us very structured and clear teachings over the course of the 7 day retreat, diving deeper each day.”
“David has such a wealth of information that was delivered in a humble but extremely knowledgeable way.”
“David has a gentle way about him that informs about Buddhist practice in a way that is accessible to implement in my life.”
“What David talks about and teaches relates to real life.”
